Honoured Partner
Friday, 7th March and Saturday, 8th March.
Endeavour were honoured to partner with Dangerous to Know Productions and both The Octagon Bolton and Bolton Deaf Society to bring ‘On Me’, written by Caroline Lamb to the Octagon for two performances.
Christian and Shona have been cast in a tacky true crime docudrama as an abusive predator and his victim. As the two actors explore the undeniable attraction forming between them off set, they stumble into questions of male responsibility, female safety and the dangers of modern romance – and things get still more complicated once the camera starts rolling.
‘On Me’ won an Off West End award for its run on the Greater Manchester Fringe in 2022. The play focuses on themes of Gender-Based Violence and comes with the following content warnings: Brief depictions of sexual assault, scenes of alcohol use, coarse language, references to stalking and femicide and instances of sexism.
The Saturday matinee performance was brilliantly signed by Hear The Picture’s Samantha Green supported by Bolton Deaf Society and gave deaf theatre goers the opportunity to be fully immersed in the production..
Following each performance there was a panel discussion with guests including Adam Warwick-Bolton Manbassadors, Bernie Ryan- Institute of addressing strangulation (IFAS), Janet Malone-GMP, Shana Begum-Bolton Community safety team and Megan Jones from NHS adult Safeguarding.
‘On Me’ was funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and supported by Endeavour.
