Endeavour project are proud winners of Team of the Year Award with the Inspire Awards 2021
The Inspire Women Awards were created by local business woman Gulnaz Brennan to celebrate the outstanding contribution made by women locally, nationally and globally in business, charity and the community. The annual awards ceremony celebrates the achievements of women from all walks of life, who have achieved great things and who have gone above and beyond in their work or personal lives.
The award was given in recognition of the extra work carried out by the team during the past 18 months. Demand for Endeavour’s services has risen and we have seen a huge case load increase. We have had to facilitate a service change with staff working remotely and also finding ways to make non face to face contact work. We have looked at innovative ways to support families whilst we have had to social distance.
We designed safety cards that gave advice on how to keep yourself safe when isolating which included emergency contact numbers, how to make emergency calls if you are unable to speak and also safe places to be in the home. These were circulated widely to partner agencies.
We took referrals and gave advice from 8am until 8pm on our messenger service and this was very successful for those who had no other way to make contact.
Our team have gone over and above to ensure that clients still received food and we ensured that they had PPE, if they couldn’t afford food they certainly weren’t going to see masks as a priority.
We paid for emergency B&B accommodation for families when there was nowhere for them to go. We supported clients to attend court remotely both within the criminal and civil justice system and ensured that #noongetsleftbehind.
